The Goldberry Arms pub was opened in Bank Street, Kilmarnock in 1888.
It takes its name from the motto of the Boyds, who took it from Gold Berry Hill the site of part of the conflict with the Vikings at Largs in 1263. The name appears in various forms such as Goldberry, Gold Berry and Golden Berry.
